Some may say opening up a new business in this economy is risky,
but owners of a new gym in Bradenton say even if the economy's not in the greatest shape, people want to be. Get ready to sweat. From pushing tires to pushing yourself. "First thing they say is this is very challenging," says Niels Renzenbrink, co-owner of Fit Crew. Renzenbrink says Fit Crew is changing the way people workout. "The setup is based on strength conditioning. Equipment uses more functional training, on top of that a lot of cardio," says Renzenbrink. The gym opened up just about 8 months ago, but attendance has already quadrupled. "Everything we've done so far is word of mouth," says Renzenbrink. The different kind of workout offered here at Fit Crew is what's attracting clients. Plus there's co-owner Andrew Terman who helps them with their nutrition once they step out the door. "We don't believe in diets. We do primal paleo type of approach," says Terman. He says the key for anyone is to just eat real natural foods. "We do health blogging on are website and weekly meal plans," says Terman. Those here have seen some major results. "When you're done, you feel empowered," says Matt Faul, a client at Fit Crew. Since January, Faul has lost more then 30 pounds. "I'm doing everything from flipping tires to normal weights," says Faul. Something he says anyone can do at home, but he says at a place like this those around you keep you wanting to push the limits. "You're working out with a guy in the majors or someone like me just trying to better themselves." For more information on fitcrew, visit fitcrewbradenton.com. |
